How We Give Back to Communities
At Centrient, Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of how we deliver on our purpose to improve lives. Embedded within our ESG strategy under the Social pillar, our approach to CSR reflects a long-term commitment to creating shared value for society and the environment.
We focus on meaningful engagement with the communities where we operate, supporting initiatives that promote health, education, and environmental stewardship. By investing in local partnerships and driving awareness around key social challenges, we aim to empower communities and to extend our impact beyond our business footprint.
CSR at Centrient is ultimately about people. It’s about helping communities thrive, supporting those who need it most, and using our resources and expertise to make a meaningful difference. We believe that when business success is shared with society, it becomes more resilient, more inclusive, and more human.
Centrient's commitments
Centrient's CSR programme is built on three strategic pillars: social support, environmental care, and education & antimicrobial resistance (AMR) awareness.
These pillars are also closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reinforcing our commitment to global progress. Through this programme, we aim to give back to the communities where we operate by creating meaningful, locally relevant impact. Whether it’s supporting vulnerable populations, protecting ecosystems, or raising awareness about responsible antibiotic use, our CSR activities are designed to reflect our core value of Caring and our purpose of improving lives. We have set a clear target in our ESG strategy to positively impact our communities:
- 50,000 lives touched annually by 2030
What we achieved in 2024
37,951 lives impacted in 2024
In addition to impacting tens of thousands of lives, Centrient is:
- Driving CSR initiatives through a dedicated team, the Global Purpose Platform (GPP) - a grassroots, employee-led volunteer movement, which has improved the lives of over 100,000 people since its establishment in 2020
- Executing two global activities—Earth Day and STEPtember—successfully on a yearly basis
- Delivering engaging initiatives across sites and offices worldwide, including environmental conservation, supporting the elderly, hosting blood donation campaigns, and educating youth on the impacts of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), among others
