Centrient's commitments
Switching to renewable electricity is a key step in reducing our environmental impact and building a more sustainable future. By sourcing energy from clean sources, we lower our carbon emissions, help combat climate change, and support the global transition away from fossil fuels. Because of this, Centrient has set the following targets in its ESG strategy:
- Source 50% of electricity from renewable sources by 2030
What we achieved in 2024
- Sourcing 36% of electricity from renewables
- Improving energy efficiency, maintaining existing assets more effectively and replacing those that could not be repaired
- Replacing energy-inefficient equipment with appropriately sized and high-efficiency alternatives
- Maintaining the use of 100% of renewable electricity at our Santa Perpetua, Spain site and increased the share of renewable electricity from 45% to 64% at our Yushu, China site
