Supplier Standards That Make a Difference
At Centrient, sustainable procurement is a strategic enabler of our ESG ambition. With approximately 60% of our Scope 3 emissions linked to our value chain, supplier collaboration is essential to driving meaningful environmental and social impact.
Our supplier sustainability standards set clear expectations across key ESG topics—including greenhouse gas emissions, water stewardship, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), human rights, and ethical business practices. These guidelines reflect our commitment to responsible sourcing and help ensure that our partners share in our sustainability goals.
As part of this commitment, Centrient is a proud member of the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI). We assess suppliers through PSCI audits and evaluations, covering key areas such as labour and human rights, ethics, health and safety, and environmental performance. These assessments help our aim to ensure our partners operate with integrity and share our values.
To support this, we’ve also launched a supplier engagement programme that equips our procurement teams with the tools and training needed to foster ESG dialogue, build supplier capabilities, and strengthen partnerships. This proactive approach enables us to embed responsible practices across our value chain—accelerating progress toward our ESG targets and reinforcing trust with customers, regulators, and communities.
Together with our suppliers, we are shaping a more resilient, transparent, and sustainable healthcare ecosystem.
Centrient's commitments
In 2024, Centrient introduced a new target focused on supplier sustainability standards to strengthen our commitment to responsible sourcing and ESG performance across our value chain. This initiative ensures that our suppliers align with our expectations on key sustainability topics—from environmental impact and labour practices to ethical governance. Achieving this goal requires close collaboration, transparency, and shared accountability, reinforcing our belief that sustainable progress is only possible when we move forward together:
- Top 20 suppliers to meet sustainability standards based on our framework by 2030
Our progress in 2024
- Setting a new target: helping our top 20 suppliers meet our sustainability standards by 2030
