The Engineering department has a vacancy in its team for the following position:

Automation Engineer

As an Automation Engineer you will have responsability inside the Engineering function of sites in the following area: Automation.

  • In the Automation Area: You'll develop standards and site operations according Corporate Standards and Best Practices to be applied at site.
  • In the Projects area: You'll take overall responsibility on assigned projects from Design, Execution and Qualification (including CSV). Also, you'll give support by providing Project Management tools in non-automation related projects.

The main activities and responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a comprehensive automation strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of automation projects of the site.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing automation systems and processes.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for optimization and efficiency gains, and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Ensure that all automation site systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as FDA regulations, GxP guidelines, and Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP).

• Identify potential risks associated with automation initiatives and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

• Develop and manage budgets for automation projects, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effectively.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in the engineering field (Electricity, Electronics, Automation or Chemical) and/or
  • Master's degree in engineering management, technical management, or business administration.
  • +5 years experience in technical departments: Automation Engineer (+3 years) and Project Management (+2 years).
  • Advanced level of English language (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of SIEMENS suite for SCADA systems. Additional knowledge of DELTA V (EMERSON) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of different engineering disciplines and how they relate to one another.
  • Deep knowledge regarding qualification process (URS, FS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) is a must.
  • Process Safety mindset when executing the work.
  • Proven supervisory and technical skills.
  • Excellent teamwork capability, focus on client (Site Production and Quality).
  • Great organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of working in a multicultural environment.
  • Aptitude for managing risk.
